How to Jailbreak any iPhone 4/4S running iOS 5.1.1 In 4 Easy Steps (Windows, Mac)

This short tutorial will show you how to perform a safe jailbreak on any iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s with iOS 5.1.1 installed. The tutorial will use the latest redsn0w version and starts from the assumption that you have iOS 5.1.1 installed on your own iPhone.

The latest redsn0w version (0.9.12 beta 1) allows us to make untethered jailbreak to any iPhone 4/4S and also on iPad, iPod Touch running iOS 5.1.1 using the exploit already available in Absinthe 2.0.

Note: If you use a GEVEY card or ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone 4 or 4S, this tutorial is NOT for you, because with the new iOS 5.1.1 update will also update the baseband, which cannot be unlocked.

  2. Connect your iPhone 4/4S to the computer and open redsn0w;
  3. Press the Jailbreak button and redsn0w will star to implement the exploit;
  4. The iPhone will begin the restore process, and finally, after an eventual reboot (restart) you will have untethered jailbroken iPhone 4/4s running iOS 5.1.1;
