Less than a week since the launch of Absinthe 2.0, Dev Team finally releases new versions of redsn0w and PwnageTool, both jailbreak tools incorporating the exploit used by Absinthe 2.0. These free jailbreak methods now make untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1, but only redsn0w can jailbreak terminals released after iPad 2.
Redsn0w has two distinct jailbreak methods and also offers the option to include custom IPSW Unlock tickets saved by SAM. PwnageTool only works on Mac and only with the devices released before the iPad 2.
All this free tools can be downloaded from the “jailbreak tools” section.
With new versions of PwnageTool and redsn0w, Dev Team has also released a new version of ultrasn0w, which aims to bring compatibility with iOS 5.1.1. The new version is compatible only with old basebands, so no new baseband have been added to the list. Do not expect to unlock any baseband from iOS 5.x because will not happen with ultrasn0w.
Ultrasn0w 1.2.7 is available for free in Cydia and works on any iOS version.
